Workshop Title: Mastering the Save
A Comprehensive BLS & Resuscitation Training for Intern Doctors
Lecture Breakdown
Presenter 1: Dr. Tajul (The Initial Response - 10 Minutes): Focus on scene safety, checking responsiveness, carotid pulse check, and the "Call for Help" protocol (Local/Hospital codes).
Presenter 2: Dr. Nahid (The Mechanics - 20 Minutes): High-quality CPR techniques—depth, rate and minimizing interruptions.
Presenter 3: Dr. Mustafa (The Environment & Kit – 20 Minutes): Differentiating OHCA (Out of Hospital) vs. IHCA (In-Hospital). Reviewing the "Crash Cart" contents and essential instruments.
Presenter 4: Dr. Raihan (The Aftermath - 10 Minutes): Post-Cardiac Arrest Care (ROSC), immediate monitoring, and stabilizing the patient for the ICU.
Divide participants into 5 groups. Rotate every 20 minutes.
Station 1: The Rhythm of Life (Manikin Lab) – Dr. Dorpon & Dr. Naser
o Hands-on chest compressions, mouth to mouth ventilation and bag-mask ventilation. Focus on physical endurance and correct hand placement.
Station 2: The Pharmacopeia (Medicine Station) – Dr. Amina
o Focus on Adrenaline, Amiodarone, and Atropine. Dosage, timing, and "flush" techniques.
Station 3: The Basic Airway – DR. Nahid
o Oropharyngeal/Nasopharyngeal airway insertion and proper BVM (Bag-Valve-Mask) seal using the E-C clamp technique.
Station 4: The Advanced Airway – Dr. Rony
o Introduction to Laryngeal Mask Airways (LMA) and the basics of Endotracheal Intubation (ETI) for interns.
Station 5: The Shock & Stability (AED & Post-ROSC) – Dr. Raihan & Dr. Tajul o Operating the AED/Defibrillator safely and the checklist for post-resuscitation care (BP management, SpO2, ECG).
